A Lenten Journey of Sorrow

On a lonely hillside, many hundreds of years ago, Jesus of Nazareth contemplated the painful journey he would have to make to his place of execution.

Throughout the developing nations of our world, every morning, many thousands of labourers contemplate the painful labours they will have to perform to earn only a few dollars a day.

You may wish to reflect on the journey of Jesus by coming to the Chaplaincy Room in Glyntaff for 12.30-12.50 p.m. on each Thursday during Lent, or by following the meditation on the Chaplaincy website.

You may wish to act on the poverty of many of the world’s labourers by choosing to buy Fairtrade goods wherever you see the Fairtrade label.
