Prayer for Healthcare – January 2011

On the first Wednesday of each month, the Chaplaincy joins in a worldwide chain of prayer for healthcare.

This month we are praying especially for:

  • the new international nursing cohort coming to the Department of Care Sciences
  • health care in Africa, especially the links with Mbale, Kenya through PONT, and the recently launched ambulance service there

We continue to pray for

  • all students and staff in the Department of Care Sciences, especially any with particular needs or problems
  • local hospitals in which students are working

Loving God,

the care of every soul is in your hands,

the cure of every sickness comes from you.

We do not know your will for us.

If by our lives your grace may be made known,

then in us, through us, or even in spite of us,

your kingdom come, your will be done. Amen.
