Christmas – A time to be together !



During this last week of term, we at the Chaplaincy are aware that many students are packing their bags and preparing to head home to be with family for the Christmas season. We wish you a safe journey and look forward to seeing you in 2010.

If you are staying at Glamorgan over the holiday season, you might be looking for a church to celebrate Christmas. Some of the churches closest to campus are:

Castle Square (United Reformed – from the Presbyterian and Congregational traditions) – on the same side street as the Pink Shop
Sunday 20th December, 2.30pm Service of Lessons and Carols – Followed by tea and mince pies.

Christmas Day – Friday 25th December 9.30am
Family Worship for Christmas morning

St Dyfrig’s (Roman Catholic) – next to Domino’s Pizza in the roundabout

Christmas Eve – Thursday 24th December
Seasonal Carols at 6.00 p.m. with Vigil Mass 6.30 p.m.
Carols at 11.30 p.m. with Midnight Mass at 12.00 Midnight

Christmas Day – Friday 25th December
10.00 a.m. Mass of Christmas Day

St.Catherine’s (Church in Wales) – Gelliwastad Road

Sunday 20th December – 6:00 pm The Pontypridd Carol Service
Christmas Eve – Thursday 24th December 11:30 p.m. Midnight Communion and Carols

Christmas Day – Friday 25th December 9:30 a.m. Christmas Family Celebration

All the churches in Pontypridd come together for a special Christians Together Carol Service at 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 27th December at St Luke’s Church in Rhydyfelen. All students and staff of the University will be welcome.
